ALICE Receptionist Trial Options Overview
Our software trial program provides first-hand experience as to how ALICE receptionist can improve your office’s visitor management experience.
We’ve broken these into three different plans to fit your needs in evaluating the software for your organization.
ALICE Receptionist Trial Hardware Requirements
Please verify the purchased hardware meets the following minimum requirements for the ALICE Directory.
- Supported Operating System: Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise
- Touchscreen
- Integrated or attached web camera, speaker, and microphone
- Intel Core i5 2.3 GHz 6500 processor or better
- 6GB Ram (Recommend 8GB or better)
- 120 GB SATA hard drive or solid-state drive (Recommend 256 GB or bigger)
- Ethernet Port
- Supported Resolutions: 1920 x 1080 (Landscape) or 1080 x 1920 (Portrait)
Some features require additional hardware.
- If badge printing will be used, the Brother QL-810W Label Printer with DK2251 2.4in Continuous Length Paper Tape is required.
*Requires an Enterprise Subscription to utilize. - If Thermal Scanning will be used, ELO’s Temperature Sensor Pro is required.
*Requires an Enterprise Subscription and an ELO Touch Monitor with EDGE Connect device support to utilize. - If ID scanning will be used, ACUANT AssureTec ID-150 Sentinel ID Scanner is required.

Plus Trial Package
The Plus trial gives your team a hands-on look at how visitors interact with ALICE Receptionist. Using a preconfigured version of the software, you can experience key features firsthand — including audio and video calls to employees, the visitor check-in flow, and sample informational media displayed on the kiosk.
Software customization and admin access are not included in this package.

Pro Trial Package
The Pro trial lets your team run a customized version of ALICE Receptionist in your actual lobby. We’ll work with you to build a visitor flow that fits your office, then configure the system before installation. You can test it in a real-world setting for the full 30-day period.
This plan includes pre-recorded training materials covering admin functionality and system configuration. Support for any configuration changes during the trial is also included.

Enterprise Trial Package
The Enterprise trial includes everything in the Pro plan, plus full access to ALICE Receptionist’s Enterprise feature set. This includes local database support and integrations with your team’s SIP phone system, Microsoft Teams, Active Directory, and Office 365.
Your team will experience the complete visitor, employee, and admin capabilities of the system.
Badge printing and thermal scanning require specific hardware. ID scanning is not a standard feature of the Enterprise software.
ALICE Receptionist Trial FAQs
ALICE Receptionist is a Windows application and can run on any device that meets our minimum requirements. Typical devices used for trials include:
- All-in-One Touchscreen PC
- Desktop PC with attached touchscreen
- Windows tablets
Note: Touchless displays can be used for internal testing, but are not appropriate for a production environment.
Pro and Enterprise trial options include an initial discussion of how your team wants to utilize ALICE Receptionist. Settings will be configured at the time of installation and can be updated at any point during the trial.
Plus trials are limited to a preconfigured setup, though the employee directory can be customized and updated.
ALICE trials begin once the system has been configured, installed, and verified. From that point, the trial runs for 30 calendar days.
Enterprise trials include an option to apply 50% of the trial cost toward the purchase of a software license. The license purchase must occur within 60 days of the trial end date to qualify.
If your team decides to purchase the software, you can continue using your existing hardware and the ALICE settings configured during the trial.
Continued use after the trial period is available upon request during the billing process. The license start date will be set to the day after the trial ends, regardless of payment date. The license key must be paid for within 14 days to maintain uninterrupted access.
